The Meaning of Wako (和光): Marukyu Koyamaen received this name from Hashimoto Gyōin, the former head priest of Yakushi-ji Temple. It draws inspiration from Laozi’s words, "和光同塵" (wakō dōjin), meaning to conceal the light of wisdom deeply without revealing it.
