It has a good balance, a clear taste, and a nice aftertaste. The tea has a soft texture and a light body, which is fine because it’s a fruity tea. Some fruitiness and a little bit of astringency. I think this is a good tea, perfect for SSCG. I can really taste the Yame, Fukuoka terroirs.

I give this tea a thumbs up.

This black tea from Yame comes from the village of Yabe at more than 500 m (1640 ft) in altitude. It was made using the Sayama-kaori cultivar.

The fragrance of this tea is rich, yet sweet, with a hint of honey, and has floral, tart citrus nuances.

In the mouth, the attack is powerful and slightly tannic. After the attack, there is sweet impression that is followed by citrus aromas. The aromas then give way to a floral aftertaste characteristic of Sayama-kaori that is reminiscent of violets.
This is robust black tea with a lot of depth of in the length.
