Sourced from an unfertilized, carefully managed, high-elevation garden in Tongmuguan, known as the birthplace of black tea.

This Da Chigan 2021, originating from the same source material as our Zhengshan Xiaozhong 2021, is an unsmoked variant of Zhengshan Xiaozhong (also known as Lapsang Souchong). Da Chigan may also referred to as the unsmoked Zhengshan Xiaozhong.

Both teas have the characteristic longan notes, a distinctive marker of teas from Tongmuguan.

The absence of the smoking process allows for a pure expression of the tea's natural flavors, providing a contrast to the pinewood-smoked Zhengshan Xiaozhong.

Through this pairing, we aim to showcase the remarkable versatility of the tea leaves and the varying processing methods to become two uniquely expressive teas. This invites deeper appreciation and exploration of the nuanced expressions that emerge from a single source, highlighting the artistry behind tea production in Tongmuguan.

Suggestion: 5g / 80 ml, 95-100°C.
How: Allow the tea to express its full array of flavors through multiple steeps.
